What a notice needs to contain

To help us locate the material and evaluate your report, please provide the following information. These items generally reflect the requirements of 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), where applicable.

• Your physical or electronic signature, or that of a person authorized to act on your behalf.
• A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are involved.
• A clear identification of the allegedly infringing material and enough detail for us to locate it, such as a URL or other precise reference.
• Your name and contact information, including a postal address, phone number and email address.
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the rights holder, their agent or the law.
• A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act for them.

If information is missing, we may contact you to request clarification before taking further action.

What we do when a notice arrives

We review submitted complaints and assess the identified material. When we determine that a complaint warrants action, we may remove the material or disable access to it.

We may ask for additional details if needed to identify the material or assess the claim. We aim to handle reports promptly and fairly.

If your material was removed and you think that was wrong

If your material was removed following a copyright report and you believe the removal resulted from a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to the same address. Include the required information under applicable law, including your signature, identification of the removed material, your contact details and the necessary statements.

Where required, we may share the counter-notification with the original complainant and follow the applicable process.

Repeat infringers

We maintain a policy for addressing repeat infringement and may suspend or terminate access for users who repeatedly infringe copyright, in appropriate circumstances.

A word about false notices

Please submit copyright reports in good faith. Knowingly making material misrepresentations in a copyright notice may lead to legal consequences under applicable law, including 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
